Mary Weiss, su hermana Betty y las gemelas Mary Ann y Margie Ganser forman este cuarteto en la ciudad de New York. Vocalistas en la Andrew Jackson High School de Queens, New York, pasaron al terreno profesional cuando su primer single, Remember (Walkin' In The Sand), logra ser un éxito en el 64'.

Con el siguiente tema, Leader Of The Pack, -curiosamente versionada en el 76' por el grupo punk británico The Damned- en el 65', conseguirían uno de los números más fuertes del año, hoy por hoy, todo un clásico de los 60'.
